:: Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion
is a non-surgical progressive treatment that involves a
two level process:
- Superior
skin resurfacing procedure, using aluminum oxide
micro-crystals that safely and gently abrade the epidermis. It
is designed
to remove skin debris and to correct and minimize imperfections,
blemishes
and age damage.
- The above
procedure is enhanced and complete with use of
scientifically formulated products that reach the dermis level.
They
replenish decreasing natural nutrients, stimulate new cell activity
and
promote healthy skin.
Our microdermabrator
has a compressor, a vacuum pump, a pressure regulator,
and a crystal regulator. It has two canisters, one for new aluminum
oxide
crystals and one for collecting the used crystals. It also comes
equipped
with tubing that connects to the handle and to the canisters of
the unit.
The handle is lightweight. The control knobs in the front allow
the
operator to control the amount of crystal flow and vacuum pressure.
The
operator controls the abrasive depth by moving the hand piece slowly
over
the surface of the skin and by adjusting the amount of crystal flow.
